Title: Shining Inheritance / Brilliant Legacy
Episodes: 28
Network: SBS
Aired: April - July 2009
Genre: Romance
Casts:

Lee Seung Gi - as Sun Woo Hwan, the rebel grandson of a food company CEO and also heir to the company. He saw his father died before his eyes believing he caused his death. He carried the burden until he grew up not telling anyone of the incident. This drove him to become an arrogant rich man that everybody want to hate.

I looooove Lee Seung Gi after watching this drama. I do like him in 1N2D but after this drama, I'm totally infatuated! lol! XD I used to wonder how can he shoot to fame so much, but now I know. The boy got charms. One smile and you'll fall head over heels to this guy. He didn't actually did a really great job in this drama, he still has a lot of improving to do. But seeing him play a bad boy role which is a total opposite of his good boy image is refreshing. And another plus is that I've always loved the "Goo Jun Pyo" character, bad boys turn good. ^^

Han Hyo Joo - as Go Eun Sung, the daughter of a rich man but her world turned around over night after her father died. Her step mother throw them out of the housed leaving her and her younger brother to fend for themselves. A girl with a pure heart, she worked hard just to make her brother's life a better one.

Another celebrity that I've come to really like after watching this drama. I've seen Han Hyo Joo in X-Man and Love Letter before, two of my favorite variety shows and she always has this adorable smile with her. She looks so sweet which made this role so fit for her. And she did act very well in this drama. A pretty girl with spunk, no one can say no to that. =)

Bae Soo Bin - as Park Jun Se, a young man that possesses everything a woman is looking for. Stable, intelligent, kind, caring and good looking too! He was there to help Eun Sung whenever she's in trouble.

My first time to see Bae Soo Bin in a drama. I never thought another super hero character would come out of a modern drama. The character is just too good to be true that made it quite impossible to believe. And being an actor to act to such a character is quite difficult too so I understand his short comings. He may not be the best actor but he carried the role well enough.

Moon Chae Won - as Yoo Seung Mi, the step sister of Eun Sung. She's actually a good girl but turned bad because of her mother's schemes. And because of her great love for Hwanie Oppa, she would do everything to keep him by her side.

I didn't know Moon Chae Won was so popular among the celebrities. Her picture came up a number of times in the variety show, Champagne's world cup series. She's quite a good actress, carried her role well and her hateful character was understandable.

Summary:

The story started with an entangled situation between Go Eun Sung and Sun Woo Hwan's bags getting exchanged in the plane arriving from New York at the same time. Both are from rich families but Eun Sung's life turned around when her father's business went bankrupt that lead to his father's decision to hide after the news came out that he died.

Eun Sung left with her younger autistic young brother has to work and make a living for them both. When suddenly her brother went missing, she had to find a way to look for his lost brother. It is during this time that she met a grandmother by the street that got temporary amnesia caused by the bump on her head.

Unknowing to her that this grandma is a CEO for a food company selling beef soup. Seeing Eun Sung's kindness and pure heart, she took her in and promised to look for her brother. And wanting her rebel grandson to change, she also decided to make Eun Sung the heir to her company causing havoc in the family.

I really love this drama! The story is common, the characters are familiar, it's everything we've seen before but made better. I just enjoyed watching each episode as they unfold. Even if I already know that it's a romantic drama, it still made me anticipate of how the romance will come to be as the story goes on.

The drama is not boring and there's something to look forward to in each episode. I would imagine a modern romantic drama to finish in 16 episodes and 28 episodes might be too long but it's not. It's entertaining and enjoyable to watch! ^^
