An increasing demand is being made for pig-rabbits, huh, what’s a pig-rabbit?  In episode 9 of kdrama You’re Beautiful, Jang Geun Suk’s character Hwang Tae Kyung creates a pig-rabbit for Park Shin Hye’s Go Mi Nam as a way to return the hair pin he bought for her that the evil He Yi (UEE) took from her.  He does surgery on two stuffed animals to create his pig-rabbit which he names Go Mi Nam then leaves it for the real Mi Nam with the hair pin on the pig-rabbit’s ear.  Aaaww, that’s why you just gotta LOVE Tae Kyung.

Those that don’t watch the show might be thinking what’s the significance of a pig-rabbit?  In episode 7 when Tae Kyung takes Mi Nam to her father’s home town,  he gets kind-of lost after being chased down by a pig, but Mi Nam rescues him.  On their way back to town, he gets scared when they hear rustling in the bushes and he asks her if there are rabbits around because he hates rabbits.  Mi Nam can’t understand why he hates rabbits because they are so cute, so he explains to her that he had approached one once because he had thought it was cute but then it bit him- so rabbits are dangerous.  This gets him thinking that Mi Nam is like a rabbit – cute but dangerous. *ding, light bulb goes off*.  The pig is also significant because Mi Nam’s manager tells her that making a pig nose is a pressure point that will help her to control her feelings.  In episode 8 when they are talking in Tae Kyung’s room, Mi Nam does her pig nose and startles Tae Kyung.  He thinks she’s teasing him about the whole running-away-from-a-pig incident so he retaliates by calling her a pig-rabbit! *ding, ding, ding, ding, ding!*

Officials from the production company of You’re Beautiful say that since its introduction in episode 9, their phones have been ringing off the hook with fan inquiries for the pig-rabbit and the A.N.JELL pogs and stickers.  Due to the popular demand, the company is looking into the manufacturing of these You’re Beautiful products and will soon go into production.  Yay!  I’ll take one, please.  And, about episode 10- aaaahhhh!  How am I going to survive until next week!
